Accidentally Met Anies at CFD, Rano Karno: Sustenance of a Pious Child

JAKARTA - The candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno accidentally passed Anies Baswedan on car free day (CFD) to be precise on Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan, Jakarta.

Pramono-Rano and Anies, who both wore short-sleeved shirts, had a casual chat while occasionally smiling.

Rano admitted that he and Pramono had heard the news that Anies had also visited CFD Sudirman-Thamrin.

When Pramono-Rano was on Jalan Sumenep for breakfast, Anies was greeting residents at the HI Roundabout Bus Stop.

However, when Pramono-Rano arrived at the HI Roundabout area, Anies had moved to the Senayan area using the Jakarta MRT.

"Hahaha, that's called sustenance, sustenance for pious children. That's how it means like this, yes, if you say it, we didn't expect it. Honestly, I didn't expect it," said Rano in Senayan, Sunday, September 1.

Previously, Pramono-Rano revealed that his party hoped that Anies would be willing to join his campaign team in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. However, Rano admitted that there had been no special communication regarding the offer.

"But that means, if he (Anies) is willing, extraordinary," said Rano.

According to Rano, he needed advice from Anies regarding the idea of Jakarta's development. Rano admitted that he wanted to continue the government that Anies had previously carried out for the 2017-2022 period.

"That's why earlier, the development of sustainability, continued the transition of government to enter (to government) the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta," he explained.
