JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) imposed traffic engineering related to the visit of the World Catholic Church Leader, Pope Francis to Indonesia on September 3-6 in Jakarta.

"In connection with Pope Francis' visit to Indonesia on September 3-6, 2024, we carried out traffic engineering in the area to be visited and the implementation of the grand mass," said Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Syafrin Liputo when confirmed in Jakarta, Sunday, September 1, confiscated by Antara.

The following is the traffic engineering imposed by the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency during Pope Francis' visit:

Traffic Engineering Wednesday 4 September at the Cathedral Church starting 16.00 WIB

The route for traffic diversion from the South (HI, Tanah Abang, Kebon Sirih, Budi Kemuliaan) to the East (Senen Station) can go through Jalan Thamrin on the West-West Medan Merdeka Street - Majapahit Street - Juanda Street Pos-Jalan Gunung Sahari-and so on; Traffic from the East (Menteng) to the West (Tanah Abang) can use Hos Cokroaminoto Street - Wahid Hasyim Street - Mas Mansyur Street - and so on.

Traffic Engineering Thursday 5 September at the Istiqlal Mosque starting 08.30 WIB

The route for traffic diversion from the South (HI, Tanah Abang, Kebon Sirih, Budi Kemuliaan) to the East (Senen Station) can go through Jalan Thamrin on the West-West Medan Merdeka Street - Majapahit Street - Juanda Street - Gunung Sahari Street - and so on; Traffic from the East (Menteng) to the West (Tanah Abang) can use Jalan Hos Cokroaminoto - Jalan Wahid Hasyim - Jalan Mas Mansyur - and so on.

Traffic from the South (Cipete) to the West (Slipi) or North (Monas) can use Jalan Kyai Maja-Jalan Kebayoran Baru-Jalan Arterial Pondok Indah-rotating at U-Turn in front of Gandaria City-Jalan Teuku Nyak Arief-Jalan Army Students-and so on;

Traffic from the North (Harmoni) to the South (Blok M) can go through Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat-Jalan Budi Kemuliaan-Jalan Abdul Muis-Jalan Fachrudin-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Purification-Jalan Pejompongan-Jalan Pelajar-Jalan Teuku Nyak Arief-Jalan Kebayoran Baru-Jalan Kyai Maja-Jalan Panglima Polim-and so on;

Traffic from East (Tebet) to West (Slipi) can go through Captain Tendean Street - Wolter Monginsidi Street - Trunojoyo Street - Kyai Maja Street - Kebayoran Baru Street - Pondok Indah Arterial Street rotating in front of U-turn Gandaria City - Teuku Nyak Arief Street - Student Army Street - S Parman Street - and so on;

Traffic from the West (Slipi) to the East (Tebet) can go through Jalan S Parman-Jalan Pejompongan-Jalan Purification-Jalan RM Margono-Jalan Galunggung-Jalan Dr Saharjo-Jalan Prof Dr Soepomo-Jalan MT Haryono-and so on. Paus Francis is scheduled to travel atolic to Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, and Singapore on September 2-13 2024.

Indonesia became the first country in a series of visits by Pope Francis to the Asia Pacific region, on September 3-6.

Then the Pope continued his visit to Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea) and Vanimo from 6-9 September 2024, Dili (Timor Leste) from 9-11 September 2024, and Singapore from 11-13 September 2024.

Pope Francis is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on September 3, 2024 at noon. Then, the next day or on September 4, the leader of the Catholics is scheduled to meet President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

Then, on September 5, 2024 Pope Francis is scheduled to attend an interfaith meeting at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, and continue with meetings with beneficiaries of charitable organizations at the Indonesian Bishops' Conference Office.
