Prabowo Prepares Special Budget For Pursuit Of Corruptors

Prabowo Subianto will prepare a special budget to pursue corruptors (VOI/Diah Ayu Wardani).

The elected President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, admitted that he would prepare a special budget for his government to be used to pursue corruption perpetrators. This was conveyed by Prabowo in his closing speech on the Gerindra Party National Meeting.

"Maybe I will re-check the budget. I will set aside a special budget for eradicating and pursuing these corruptors. Even if he (the corruptor) runs to Antarctica, I will send special forces to find them in Antarctica," said Prabowo at the Arena Indonesia, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, August 31, 2024.

Prabowo said that the budget allocation plan for the pursuit of corruptors was his determination to eradicate corruption, which has always been a serious problem in Indonesia.

"All indicators show that we are on the verge of extraordinary revival. The key is that we must reduce corruption. If we can, we will finish corruption in a short time, at least we will suppress, reduce, reduce, and reduce. We will not compromise with corruption," said Prabowo.

As one of the concrete steps to eradicate corruption, Prabowo is also committed to providing a special budget that can later be used to pursue corruptors.

On that occasion, Prabowo also invited all elements of the nation to work together to fight and eradicate drug smuggling and problems.

"We must also jointly eradicate smuggling, let alone smuggle and sell drugs. I am determined to lead the war to eradicate drugs," said the General Chair of the Gerindra Party.
