Prabowo Claims To Be Quoted By Megawati's Greetings Through Azwar Anas In Front Of Jokowi

Prabowo Subianto admitted that he received greetings from Megawati Soekarnoputri at the Gerindra Cadre Apple (VOI/Wardhany Tsa Tsia).

JAKARTA - The general chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, admitted that he received greetings from the Chairperson of the PDI-P, Megawati Soekarnoputri. He said this greeting was conveyed through the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB), Abdullah Azwar Anas.

This was conveyed in his speech during the Cadre Apple event as well as the Closing of the Gerindra Party Rapimnas at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, August 31, 2024.

"The Minister of PAN-RB, Mr. Azwar Anas. Earlier he conveyed greetings from Megawati's mother," said Prabowo.

The elected president then confirmed his return to Azwar Anas who sat on the ranks of ministers at the event.

"That's right (got greetings from Megawati, ed)?" asked Prabowo and was confirmed by Azwar Anas.

Getting this question, Azwar, who was highlighted by the camera, seemed to be smiling. He nodded his head.

Furthermore, Prabowo admitted that this was the first time the Gerindra Party had invited many parties to its party events. Apart from ministers and a number of figures, there are also general chairmen of political parties.

He emphasized that the political parties that attended were not only members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), but also non-KIM, including the PDI-P.

"It is a great honor for me to hold an event and we invite all parties. Not only our coalition, we also invite all non-coalition parties," said Prabowo.

"Arriving today's representatives from PDIP, Mr. Azwar Anas was also present. Mrs. Puan sent greetings because there was a DPR event in Bali," he continued.

The Gerindra Party Cadre Apple was also attended by President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, along with a number of ministers from the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. This event started at 19.00 WIB.
