Gender Equality Issues Driven To Women's Attention

JAKARTA - Gender equality must be pushed to become a national agenda for all women in the country. This issue must be a concern amidst the dominance of men in the industrial world.

This was revealed by Prilly Latuconsina, who is a female character in the discussion on the Title of Speech, initiated by Renjana Cita Srikandi. He spoke on behalf of other public figures, namely Tasya Farasya, Titi Kamal, and dr. Reisa Brotoasmoro.

"Our job is to focus on the goal," Prilly said in a statement quoted on Thursday, August 29.

In addition, Prilly also needs women to move together to help and encourage each other. Because, there are many challenges that must be faced such as negative assumptions.

"Cemotan is the risk of being a woman who is able to be empowered," said Prilly.

The Speech Title initiated by Renjana Citra Srikandi is a series of Grand Festivals for Women's Empowerment in Pekanbaru. The activity which was held on August 23-25, 2024 at the Riau Governor's Office Field and the Pekanbaru Sharia BRK Tower Ballroom focuses on strengthening the role of Indonesian women to welcome Indonesia Gold 2045.

In addition to the Wicara Title, Renjana Cita Srikandi also presents empowerment activities to improve women's competence. For three days, dozens of topics in a speech session with female resource persons from various fields attracted the attention of many participants.

Inspirational female figures from Pekanbaru such as female pilot Athira Farina and female firefighter Rica Permatasari were also presented. They managed to provide encouragement and motivation as well as break down the stigma of gender equality in an industry dominated by men.

In total there are 12 talks with various topics such as Dare to Create, Dare to Be Different: Prilly on Innovation & Women's Empowerment, Woman in Sustainability, Walking with Raline Shah: Art, Culture, and Social Dedication, Energyizing You, Elevating Each Other, From Local Diva Becomes a Global Diva: The Role of Female Musicians in the Music Industry, Gender Equality, Titi Kamal's Journey through Entertainment, Balancing Faith and Modernity.

The workshop area is also very dynamic, featuring free classes that lift practical skills. For example, such as jewelry workshops, tutorial make-ups, to innovation in sustainability creating environmentally friendly business models.

Marlian Dwi Ratih, owner of Mahacinta Jewelry, stated that his participation in Renjana Cita Srikandi Pekanbaru 2024 provided space for the disabled team from Mahacinta Jewelry to be able to participate, even being an assistant teacher at the workshop session of this metal jewelry brand.

With the presence of practitioners from Jakarta and Pekanbaru as well as well-known chefs such as Mrs. Sisca, Marinka, and Mrs. Rudy, this workshop has succeeded in attracting around 750 participants who are expected to improve their competence through the free briefing. Even the annual scheduled event is inclusive by providing sign language interpreters for friends with disabilities in the series of Speech Titles, and Music Shows.

This event also provides concrete support for the development of the economic sector in Pekanbaru and its surroundings by involving more than 200 MSMEs who are given the opportunity to sell in the special areas provided.

A total transaction of more than one billion rupiah was recorded during the three days of implementation. This event was attended by more than 60,000 visitors who came from various regions, such as Pekanbaru, Padang, Medan, Palembang, to Lampung and will be held in Bandung, Makassar, Medan, and Bali.
