Pramono Candidate In The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, Puan Denies There Is A PDIP Compromise With The Palace

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani denied any compromise between her party and the palace regarding the nomination of the Minister of Cabinet, Pramono Anung in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. "Nothing, no compromise. We are all doing well to be able to maintain each other's unity and integrity," said Puan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, August 29. Puan was surprised that Pramono's election to become the Jakarta cagub carried by PDIP was referred to as a signal that the bull party was close to the palace. Because according to him, currently Pramono is the minister of Jokowi's government. "Mr. Pram is currently at the palace. Until now, he is still in the palace, so what compromise is it?" said the chairman of the DPR. According to Puan, the nomination in the Pilkada is the political right of all political parties. So that all political parties have the same opportunity to carry their respective candidates. Including the PDIP decision which finally brought up Pramono Anung-Rano Karno. Puan said that although Pramono's electability was small, it was already the right of the PDIP.
