Sulaiman-Adri Paton First Registrant Will Cagub-Cawagub Kaltara

The candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of North Kalimantan (caltara), Brigadier General Sulaiman and Prof. Adri Patton, officially registered with the General Election Commission (KPU) of Kaltara.

Both of them will be the first candidates to register in the North Kalimantan Pilkada contestation.

The pair with the Sulton jargon (Sulaiman-Adri Paton) was promoted by two political parties, namely the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the National Mandate Party (PAN).

Sulaiman said that his party would like to thank the party leadership for trusting them to run in the 2024 North Kalimantan gubernatorial election.

"We received a special message from party leaders from PDIP and PAN to carry out the government properly in accordance with the applicable law," said Sulaiman, Wednesday, August 28.

As a military background, he and Adri Patton are ready to carry out the mandate given by the supporting party.

"God willing, I will carry out this mandate as well as possible in accordance with the stipulated provisions," said Sulaiman.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Kaltara KPU, Hariyadi, confirmed that the registration file for the Sulaiman-Adri Patton pair had been received and declared complete.

"Alhamdulillah, one candidate pair has been present, and the files they submitted are declared complete. The physical documents submitted earlier are a nomination requirement, and all of them have been uploaded through the Silon application," explained Hariyadi.

The KPU will then issue two documents, namely registration forms and introductory letters for prospective couples undergoing medical examinations.

The next stage is a health check on September 2, followed by research on administrative requirements that will determine the status of the documents submitted to the KPU.

"We will clarify, both to candidate pairs and related agencies, to check the veracity of documents such as ID cards, high school diplomas, and criminal records. We will convey the results of this clarification on September 5 and 6," said Hariyadi.

"The process of improving the candidate pair's documents will be carried out on September 8, followed by verification and determination of seats on September 14," he concluded.
