PKB Still Godok Cagub West Java At Last Minute, Singgung Elektabiitas Sandiaga Unggul From Dedi Mulyadi

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid assessed that Sandiaga Uno's electability was superior to Dedi Mulyadi, who had registered as a candidate for governor of West Java (Jabar) 2024.

"Yes, because there was Mr. RK in West Java at that time, now there is no Mr. Ridwan Kamil, there is Mr. Dedi Mulyadi. In my opinion, Mr. Sandi will be better electoral than present," said Jazilul as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 28.

Jazilul said that his party was still lobbying with Sandiaga to be pleased to run in the 2024 West Java Pilkada.

"It is still being initiated by the Chairman (DPW) of West Java. It continues to be pioneered again," he said.

He said that his party was trying to explore Sandiaga to be paired with the Chairman of the West Java PKB DPW Syuro Council, Acep Adang Ruhiat.

"There is also an old idea and this is still being discussed together with Pak Sandiaga Uno. Pak Sandiaga Uno and Pak Acep Adang Ruhiat," he said.

Regarding the offer from PKB, Jazilul said Sandiaga still seemed indecisive so that his party would wait for the dynamics that developed at the end.

"(Sandiaga) is still indecisive. Yes, usually one, two days, this is an important momentum after everything is registered, seen as measured, oh it can be defeated, oh this is an opportunity to win. Well, that's where the spirit reappears," he said.

Earlier on July 3, Jazilul said Sandiaga Uno was considered to be supported by his party running in the 2024 West Java Pilkada.

"Several aspirations are included from the PKB ranks so that Pak Sandiaga is included as a candidate for governor in West Java," said Jazilul after attending the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Gathering at the PAN DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (3/7).

As for July 29, the West Java PKB DPW announced that it would officially carry Acep Adang Ruchiat as a candidate for deputy governor of West Java in the 2024 Pilkada.
