Armed Robbers Of Fire Fighting Bullets Into The Air When Caught By Residents Of Cipayung, East Jakarta

JAKARTA - Two motorbike theft perpetrators equipped with firearms came to residential areas by riding a motorbike on Jalan Sepakap A1, Cilangkap, Cipayung District, East Jakarta, Wednesday morning, August 28.

The perpetrator's actions were caught on CCTV surveillance cameras at the scene. In the CCTV footage, it can be seen that two perpetrators riding a motorbike stopped at a resident's house which was the target of the theft.

The perpetrator's motorbike stopped in front of the victim's house, while one of the perpetrators who became the executor of the theft got off the motorbike he was riding.

Furthermore, the perpetrators observed the situation and returned to the motorbike he was riding. The two of them were seen in the middle of a discussion because their actions had also been known to residents of the house.

The two perpetrators finally chose to leave. However, residents who knew about the perpetrator's actions tried to catch up but one of the perpetrators of the motorcyclist immediately stopped and turned around while brandishing a firearm.

The perpetrator also pointed a firearm at the residents who were chasing him. Then the perpetrator fled again and fired the firearm he was carrying into the air.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cipayung Police, AKP Hotman Capandi, said that his party would check the information regarding the incident.

"The motorbike has not been taken, after the nodong (like a firearm) continues to escape. (motor) has not been taken. We are still checking the field," said AKP Hotman when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, August 28.

Until now the case is still being handled by the Cipayung Police. Residents hope that the perpetrators will be arrested soon because they have been disturbing and residents are worried.
