JAKARTA - The candidate for governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, said he was ready to fight in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. He will come to 12 points or even more in a day as the challenge conveyed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to him.

"What Mr. Jokowi challenged me to go down 12 points a day, sir, I said, well, sir, I will fight for point 12 and maybe more than that," Pramono said at a press conference at the KPUD Jakarta Office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 28.

Pramono said he really wanted to meet as many people as possible. Moreover, the campaign period is only for a short time.

The Cabinet Secretary's Minister said he had a target so that he would be remembered by Jakarta residents who were voters.

"Because it wasn't too long and many asked me personally, 'whether you're (known, red) you've never appeared on TV, people don't know. I don't know. I really don't want to prepare myself and don't need to be known," he said.

"But this opportunity in a short time I believe people will definitely know me at least Pramono Anung and Rano 'Doel' Karno will be known again," continued the PDIP cadre.

Previously reported, PDIP carried Pramono Anung and Rano Karno forward in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. Whereas previously the name of the former Governor of DKI Jakarta was widely rumored to be carried by the party bearing the bull symbol.

In fact, Rano Karno had met with Anies in red on Monday, August 26, or when PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri announced the candidate for the head of the third wave of the region. The meeting was held at the PDIP DPP Office Building B.
