JAKARTA - The candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta for the PDI-P (PDIP) Pramono Anung-Rano Karno arrived at the DKI Jakarta KPU Office to register in the 2024 Pilkada. In his remarks at the submission of the registration file, Pramono, who also serves as Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) admitted that he had asked President Joko Widodo for permission to participate in the election contestation. "Because I am still in the cabinet, I specifically ask for permission from the president Jokowi and the president to give permission and many of him then encourage me to run," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta KPU Office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 28.
