JAKARTA - The Office of the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province began to be closely guarded by thousands of joint personnel of the Central Jakarta Metro Police ahead of the registration of the Jakarta Cagub and Cawagub pairs on Wednesday, August 28. Thousands of joint personnel were deployed around the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU office area, Salemba Raya Street, Senen District, Central Jakarta. "We involved a total of 1,291 joint personnel in the framework of securing the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro. As for the joint personnel deployed from the Metro Jaya Police, Central Jakarta Metro Police, TNI, DKI Regional Government and other relevant agencies. Meanwhile, regarding the transfer of traffic flow around the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU, Kombes Susatyo explained that it was situational. This means that traffic flow engineering will be implemented to see the development of field dynamics. "If later around the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU there will be quite a large number of masses and an escalation will increase, then we will carry out traffic engineering," he said.
