32 Demonstrators In Semarang Are Still Being Investigated By The Police

JAKARTA - The Central Java Police (Central Java) stated that there were 32 vocational and student students who were still undergoing examination at the Semarang Police Headquarters after the demonstration in front of the Semarang City DPRD which ended in chaos on Monday, August 26.

"There are 22 vocational school students. Today we are indang his parents," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol Artanto in Semarang, Tuesday, August 27, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the parents will accompany their children when questioned.

"It will be asked, what is the reason these vocational students took part in the action in front of the Semarang City DPRD yesterday," he said.

Artanto said the police's firm efforts were in accordance with standard operating procedures.

According to him, after the action that ended in chaos, the security and social security situation in the Central Java region was relatively conducive and under control.

He appealed to various elements of society to express opinions in public in an orderly manner and according to the rules.

"Don't let things happen that cause inconvenience to others," he said.

Previously, the police forcibly dispersed the student action in front of the Semarang City DPRD Office on Monday, August 26 evening.

There was a push between students and police officers on guard.

In the action, the students damaged two gated office complexes in the same location as the Semarang Mayor's office.

Police pushed the mass of students to the North on Jalan Pemuda using water cannon cars and tear gas shots.
