JAKARTA - Four teenagers armed with sharp weapons were arrested by members of the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team when they were about to brawl in the Bongkaran Kapuk area, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Sunday, 25 August.

Head of Samapta Unit of West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP M Hari Agung Julianto said that the arrest started from a public report that a group of youths were going to brawl with sharp weapons.

‘The report stated that a group of youths were suspected of committing a brawl, and some of them were seen carrying sharp weapons,’ said AKBP M Hari Agung Julianto when confirmed, Sunday, 25 August.

Receiving this information, the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team immediately responded and moved towards the reported location. Upon arrival at the location, in accordance with the reports received, the team found a group of young people with the appropriate characteristics.

Without delaying time, the patrol team gave chase and managed to arrest four teenagers. From the results of the search on the spot, the team found two celurises that were strongly suspected to be used in the brawl.

‘The four teenagers along with evidence in the form of two celurites were then secured and taken to Cengkareng Police Station, West Jakarta, for further examination,’ he said.

According to AKBP Agung, prevention efforts like this will continue to be improved to ensure security and order in the jurisdiction of West Jakarta Metro Police.
