Riding A Motorbike, A 17-year-old Teenager Dies In A Collision With A Diponegoro Menteng Road Barrier

JAKARTA - A 17-year-old teenager with the initials JT was found dead covered in blood on Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Sunday, August 25.

The victim died due to a single accident when the Yamaha motorbike driven by the victim had 'out of control' and hit the road divider.

Head of Traffic at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Gomos Simamora, confirmed the fatal accident.

The accident began when the victim's motorbike was speeding from east to west on Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Arriving near the Elang Laut Office, the motorbike driven by the victim suddenly lost control.

"It happened in the early hours of Sunday at around 02.15 WIB. The victim was a student, a resident of Tebet, South Jakarta," said Kompol Gomos to VOI, Sunday, August 25, afternoon.

As a result of the accident, the victim was found dead at the scene. The victim's body bounced and went into a ditch.

"The victim JT suffered injuries to the head and died at the crime scene," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim's Yamaha motorbike was damaged in the left body and front fender. The victim's body was then taken to the RSCM.

"We have processed the crime scene and made a sketch of the crime scene picture. The evidence is secured," he said.

Until now, the accident case has been handled by the Laka Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit.
