Smoothly As Chairman Of PKB Again, Cak Imin Is Considered To Be Helped By Negative Sentiments To Rulers

JAKARTA - Director of Trias Politica, Agung Baskoro assessed that Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin's smooth steps to be re-elected as Chairman of PKB could not be separated from the massive negative sentiment towards the authorities.

According to him, Cak Imin could have the same fate as Airlangga Hartarto, who had to step down from the chair of the General Chair of the Golkar Party. However, the public's anti-patial attitude towards the palace related to the Pilkada Law makes it now deemed inappropriate to take over PKB from Cak Imin's hands.

"Unlike yesterday, the direction of invisible hand for Airlangga, public wind has not yet been consolidated. So now it's the opposite, so if you really want to play with Cak Imin, the public is with him, because there is an antipathy to the palace," said Agung, Sunday, August 25, 2024.

In addition, Cak Imin is said to be more agile than Airlangga in matters of'serving' the political interests of the authorities. Cak Imin's decision to join the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus, to provide support to a number of regional head candidates (cakada), is considered a way out to escape from the crush.

This, continued Agung, is different from Airlangga, who seems to have attracted support for a number of cakadas. For example, is the tug of support for Golkar to Jokowi's son-in-law in the North Sumatra Pilgub Bobby Nasution, the spirit of forming a coalition with PDIP in supporting Airin Rachmy Diany in Banten and providing support for Ridwan Kamil to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Meanwhile, Cak Imin, as soon as he entered KIM Plus, immediately stated that PKB supports all the candidates offered by KIM. Cak Imin also no longer talked about the narrative of change, as was done when he was still in a duet with Anies Baswedan during the 2024 presidential election.
