Twice Called, Dharma-Kun And KPU Asked For Cooperatives Regarding Allegations Of NIK Profit

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has asked the candidate pair Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) as well as the General Election Commission (KPU) to cooperate in fulfilling the summons regarding the clarification of the alleged profiteering of the population identification number (NIK).

"We have summoned twice, both Dharma-Kun and KPU, and were also not present," said DKI Jakarta Bawaslu Violation Handling Coordinator Benny Sabdo, ANTARA, Sunday, August 25.

Benny said that the DKI Jakarta Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) had summoned two individual candidate pairs, on Friday 23 August and Saturday 24 August.

During the summons, said Benny, both of them were also not present and only represented their lawyers, but because what was needed was information from the individual candidate pair, Bawaslu recalled for the third time.

Likewise, the summons made to the DKI KPU, continued Benny, and until the summons of the two KPUs also could not attend.

"Today is the third summons for the clarification agenda regarding the profiteering of ID cards. We ask that the candidate pair Dharma-Kun and KPU cooperate," he said.

The third official summons, he said, had been sent on Saturday (24/8) to both of them.

Benny added that his party had asked for information from reporters who felt their NIK was used to support individual candidate pairs.

He said that his party received seven public reports related to alleged election violations and this case was then continuously processed by Bawaslu.

"Gakkumdu has asked for information from reporters, victim witnesses and IT experts (information technology) as well as election criminal law experts," he said.
