The Jaro Ade Pair From PDI Perjuangan Is Welcomed, But Still Waiting For The Golkar DPP Decree

Political observers are starting to guess who is paired with who in the 2024 Bogor Regency Pilkada contestation. Political parties, even starting to install their candidates in the Pilkada which will be held simultaneously in November.

It is known that registration of candidate pairs for Regent (Cabup) and Deputy Regent of Bogor to KPUD starts on 27 to 29 August 2024.

"We have just completed the Golkar XI National Conference and Pak Bahlil Lahadalia has been appointed as the new general chairman of the Golkar DPP. Of course we are still focusing internally on Golkar," said Samsul Hidayat, Chairman of the Bogor Regency Pilkada Winner of the Golkar Party, via WhatsApp (WA) message, Thursday, August 22.

The issue of the candidate for Regent of Bogor, Jaro Ade, paired with Musyafaur Rahman from the PDI-P, was welcomed by Samsul Hidayat, considering that the relationship between the two parties had been very well established.

"We respect and thank whatever political steps the PDI-P has taken. However, we are still waiting for the Golkar DPP decision, which will only be announced in the next two to three days," said a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD elected council.

Samsul added, until now Jaro Ade is the only candidate for Bogor regent from the Golkar Party with a number of popularity and electability that has crossed the threshold for survey results by three institutions.

"There will be a time when we will announce who the deputy regent assistant for Kang Jaro Ade, and we will also announce that the Golkar Party will form a coalition with any party," he explained.
