After The Fence Was Broken, Joint Officers Tightened Security For The MPR DPR Building

The joint apparatus of the TNI and Polri began to line up to dispel the demonstrators who entered after breaking into the fence of the Pancasila Gate, behind the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Building, Thursday, August 22.

At around 15.00 WIB, the joint military and police officers carried out tight security with a number of shields.

The tight layer of security was carried out after the Pancasila Gate fence which was successfully torn down by students.

Based on VOI's monitoring, several TNI officers were seen walking while coating up the standing members of the Police to make security barricades.

In addition, a number of water canons and tactical vehicles (Rantis) were also alerted in the back area of the DPR/MPR RI Building.

Although the fence was successfully torn down, there has been no mass of demonstrators who have pushed into the DPR MPR RI building. Hundreds of people only stood up to make student barricades while dealing with security forces.

"We students swear that we are one nation, a nation that is passionate about justice. We Indonesian students swear, speak one language, language without lies," shouted a number of students in a loud tone in front of the security forces.

Then the students shouted chants - other action chants.

"Open, open... door, open the door now," they added.
