JAKARTA - The public prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission has demanded that the defendant, former North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba, be sentenced to 9 years in prison in a bribery and gratification corruption case within the North Maluku Provincial Government.
"The defendant Abdul Gani Kasuba was sentenced to nine years in prison and a fine of Rp. 300 million, subsidiary to six months in prison," said KPK prosecutor Rony Yusuf during a trial reading the charges at the Corruption Court at the Ternate District Court, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 22.
In his charge, Rony stated that the defendant Abdul Gani Kasuba was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption as in the first, third and third charges.
