RT-RW Management Asks For Operational Funds To Be Raised To IDR 6 Million, DKI DPRD Gives These Conditions

JAKARTA - The management of the Neighborhood Association (RT) and Citizens Association (RW) in Menteng District, Central Jakarta asked Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD to increase the nominal value of their operational funds. Since 2018 until now, RT-RW administrators have received an operational budget of IDR 2 million per month for RT and IDR 2.5 million per month for RW. Deputy Chairman of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Rasyidi, said that his party could propose an increase in the operational funds of the RT-RW management. However, Rasyidi provided conditions for these RT-RW administrators to provide a detailed draft budget (RAB) based on the figures they submitted. "Because it's about the budget, it must be clear what the nominal value of Rp. 6 million is. So we ask for details, there must be first," said Rasyidi in his statement, Thursday, August 22. However, Rasyidi emphasized that the additional operational budget for the RT-RW management could not be allocated in the 2024 APBD changes because it had been ratified. If approved, the DPRD will propose the budget in the preparation of the 2025 APBD. Thus, the RT-RW management was asked to immediately submit the RAB. " “ Then before the end of December 2024, it must be immediately re-entered and to Commission C or directly to the chairman of the DKI DPRD," said Rasyidi. Previously in an audience with the DPRD, a spokesman for the RT RW Forum Management, Menteng District, Tomy Tampatty, explained the reason his party asked for an increase in operational funds. According to him, the RT-RW management lacks funds to support RT and RW activities with Kamtibnas, socialization of disease prevention, prevention of drug hazards, prevention of online gambling, prevention of brawls, and others. Moreover, there are some activities that need to be carried out for 24 hours to establish cross-sectoral coordination.
