JAKARTA - The police arrested two perpetrators of making and circulating counterfeit money. They were arrested while playing clubbing at a nightclub. "Securing the two perpetrators while in a nightclub," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Rovan Richard Mahenu when confirmed, Wednesday, August 21. The two perpetrators are known to have the initials AT and FC. The disclosure of this case began with information from the public who said that one of the houses in the Bojongsari area, Depok, was used as a location for making counterfeit money. Information was followed up and it turned out to be true. After the two suspects were arrested and examined, it was found that they printed counterfeit rupiah denominations of Rp. 100,000 and Rp. 5,000. "From the evidence found, 2,100 pieces of counterfeit money were confiscated," he said. "Then, 65 pieces of counterfeit Rp50 thousand denominations were also found," continued Rovan. There are also 92 counterfeit notes of Rp100 thousand ready for distribution. Then, 438 pieces in half-finished condition.

Not only that, from the rented house, the police also confiscated several other pieces of evidence such as laptops, printers, plastic monograms, to bank labels. In this case, the two perpetrators were suspected of Article 244 and Article 245 of the Criminal Code regarding criminal acts of counterfeiting and distributing counterfeit money.
