State Loss After BPK Audited, West Aceh Regional Secretariat Returns Food And Drink Expenditure Of IDR 53.8 Million

The West Aceh Regency Government has so far received a refund of indications of state financial losses, amounting to Rp53.8 million on the findings of the Aceh Representative Audit Agency (BPK) for eating and drinking at the Regional Secretariat of West Aceh Regency in 2023. "“From the number of findings of Rp. 437,810,368, - which has been followed up amounting to Rp. 53,869,152,-,” said Head of the West Aceh District Inspectorate, Zakaria Mahmud answered ANTARA in Meulaboh, Tuesday, August 20. According to him, the return of the findings is in the food and drink allocation post sector and an official travel order (SPPD) at the Regional Secretariat of West Aceh Regency, which has been followed up. Previously, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of Aceh in its findings revealed that the realization of food and beverage expenditures for guest banquets at the Regional Secretariat of West Aceh Regency, in 2023 was allegedly not in accordance with applicable regulations, with a value that was allegedly not appropriate of more than Rp. 335 million. In the 2023 fiscal year, the West Aceh Regency Government is said to have budgeted for food and drink expenditures for guests at the regional secretariat of more than IDR 2.125 billion, with the realization of the budget almost reaching 100 percent, or around IDR 2.124 billion more. The financial examining agency found that there were accountability documents prepared by the technical activity implementing official (PPTK) of the Regional Secretariat of West Aceh Regency, allegedly not completing supporting evidence such as invitations to meetings or invitations to activities, documentation, minutes, attendance lists and documentation including meeting minutes. Zakaria also confirmed that the findings of the BPK and the examination agency requested that the findings be followed up, by returning the findings by depositing them into the regional treasury.

“ Mr. Acting Regent of West Aceh has also written to the relevant agencies to complete the findings of BPK Teraebut, ” according to Zakaria.
