Pulling A Bag With A Jambret, A Woman Motorcycle Passenger Dies Dragged In The Gambir Area, Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - A young woman with the initials KRA died after being dragged by a motorbike due to defending her bag which was confiscated by two robbers, on Hasyim Ashari Street, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.

"This victim had a ride with the witness with the initials E. The victim and witness rose dirty from Pulogadung, East Jakarta to Cengkareng, West Jakarta," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Chandra Mata Rohansyah when confirmed, Tuesday, August 20.

According to witness testimony, the incident began when the victim stopped at a red light on Jalan Veteran Raya, Gambir. At that time the victim saw two perpetrators riding a Honda Vario motorcycle.

"The victim was then followed until finally on Jalan KH. Hasyim Ashari," he said.

Then the perpetrator approached the victim's motorbike and pulled his lap.

"There was an interesting tug of war between the victim and the perpetrator," he said.

The pulling of the bag made the motorbike driven by the witness swayed and fell. The victim was dragged several meters until he suffered serious head injuries.

'The victim also bleeding from the mouth and residents passing by helped take the victim to the Sumber Waras Hospital," he said.

Due to serious injuries, the victim's life could not be saved. The victim breathed his last at the Sumber Waras Hospital, West Jakarta. Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim.
