Pocket Support For 469 Voice Owners, Bahlil List Of Candidates For Golkar Chairman

The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Golkar Party received the registration of Bahlil Lahadalia as a candidate for chairman (ketum) for the general chairman election agenda which will be held at the XI Golkar Party National Conference (Munas) on Tuesday (20/8).

Chairman of the Golkar Party's XI National Conference Steering Committee, Adies Kadir, said the registration documents received from Bahlil were quite thick. According to him, Bahlil received support from 469 voters in the Golkar Party.

"We are currently still verifying, later we will tell who the candidates meet the requirements," said Adies after receiving Bahlil's registration at the Golkar DPP office, reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 19.

Apart from Bahlil, according to him, there are other candidates who have also registered to take part in the general chairman election, namely Ridwan Hisjam as a senior politician in the party.

However, Adies considered that the registration file brought by Ridwan Hisjam was thinner than Bahlil. So according to him, it shows Bahlil's seriousness in following the nomination of the general chairman.

He said registration would be closed on Monday at 22.00 WIB. While waiting for the closure, according to him, the committee will verify the file while waiting for registration from other candidates.

"Who knows there are candidates for general chairman who dare to be interested in advancing," said Adies.

Meanwhile, Bahlil admitted that he had been interested in becoming the General Chair of the Golkar Party since one year ago. According to him, the registration was an effort to meet the target.

"Incidentally, my match was in the competition, and the competition in Golkar was beautiful because it competed to side by side," said the newly inaugurated Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.
