JAKARTA - The Special Committee (Pansus) for the Hajj Implementation Angkat (Pansus Anggat Haji) 2024 DPR RI has appointed a member of Commission VI DPR RI Nusron Wahid as Chair of the 2024 Hajj Anggaket Special Committee.
The determination was made at the Hajj Angket Special Committee meeting held at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, today chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives for People's Welfare Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.
"Brother Nusron Wahid is the Chair of the Hajj Anggat Special Committee. The deputy chairman, three people, Mr. Marwan Dasopang, Mrs. Diah Pitaloka, and Mrs. Ledia Hetifah," said Cak Imin as quoted by Antara, Monday, August 19.
He then prayed that the leaders of the Hajj Anggat Special Committee could carry out their mandate as well as possible.
"We all want to realize a really new Hajj, really healthy, really brings benefits to the pilgrims," he added.
Previously, there were a number of names included in the market for candidates for the Chairperson of the Hajj Anggat Special Committee, namely members of the DPR Diah Pitaloka proposed by the PDIP faction and the National Mandate Party (PAN), members of the DPR Syarief Abdullah Alkadrie proposed by the NasDem Faction, members of the DPR Marwan Dasopang proposed by the PKB and PKS factions, members of the Wastam DPR proposed by the Democratic Faction, and Nusron Wahid proposed by the Golkar and Gerindra factions.
Previously, member of the Special Committee for the Supervision of Indonesian House of Representatives, Luluk Nur Hamidah, said that the existence of the Special Committee was aimed at, among others, seeking to organize a better Hajj.
"“We want to build a much better, transparent, comprehensive upstream, elderly and female friendly Hajj ecosystem and strengthen other dimensions that should also be strengthened," Luluk said.
The formation of the special committee was approved at the 21st DPR RI Plenary Meeting for the V Session Period for the 2023-2024 Session Year, at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/7).
"Can we agree to the formation and composition of the membership names of the Hajj Supervision Special Committee as proposed?", said Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, who was greeted with an "approval" response by members of the Indonesian House of Representatives who attended the trial.
After receiving the agreed answer, Muhaimin joked that the members of Commission VIII of the DPR applauded the approval. The House of Representatives Commission VIII became the commission in charge of hajj issues.
Muhaimin also said that the formation of the special committee and its membership composition were in accordance with the applicable regulations, in which the Special Committee Members consisted of the PDI-P faction (seven people), the Golkar Party (4), the Gerindra Party (4), the NasDem Party (3), the Democratic Party (3), PKS (3), PAN (2), and PPP (1).
