Consider Jokowi Dirty Politics Through Reshuffle, PDIP: No Ethical Reason, Substantial!

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Deddy Yevri Sitorus accused President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) of gross politics through a reshuffle or re-shake of the cabinet today, Monday, August 19. The former governor of DKI Jakarta is considered to be securing his interests.

"In general, I see President Jokowi playing dirty politics to secure his dynastic interests and political position," said Deddy in a written statement, on Monday, August 19.

“ Because there are no ethical, substantial, bureaucratic techniques that can explain the reshuffle ahead of two months. Jokowi is preparing steps to face Prabowo for the next five years, ” he continued.

Deddy then mentioned the change of Yasonna H. Laoly as Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham). He said this step was purely political to pass the MD3 Law and has three goals.

First, so that Golkar, which is now under Jokowi's control, has a strong position by controlling the legislative level from the DPR RI to the provincial and district/city DPRD levels. So that in the future he can easily manage the national political map to balance Prabowo Subianto's strength as the elected president and downplay the PDIP.

The second goal is to make it easier for Jokowi to share positions within the party bearing the banyan symbol. “ Thus Golkar's internal turmoil can be suppressed. That's my analysis, please people agree, ” he said.

Finally, Jokowi expelled Yasonna to paralyze political parties. “ Menkumham's role is very important in ratifying the party's management. So if you are not subject to the risk of not participating in the regional elections or not being ratified by the management, ” said Deddy.

Meanwhile, for the replacement of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Deddy explained, solely for the sake of controlling the mining concession. So that the players or mine owners fall to their knees in front of President Jokowi's dynasty.

“This is important for future political funding, controlling mass organizations and oligarchs, and ensuring future economic resources. Minister Arifin Tasrif is known to be straight and hard against illegal mining and nickel smuggling involving dynastics and law enforcement officials,” he said.

Deddy then said that this reshuffle was just nonsense. “ My conclusion is that this reshuffle is a triangle political game: against Prabowo, paralyzing PDIP, and controlling the source of political funding,” he said.

"I think other reasons are nothing more than nonsense," concluded Deddy.
