JAKARTA - The candidate pair for the Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for the individual route, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, has opened their voices about the alleged unilateral profiteering of the residents' NIK as their supporters.

Dharma claimed that he did not know how there was profiteering of a number of residents during the collection of support as a condition to register with the General Elections Commission (KPU). He admitted that he was not directly involved because the data collection was carried out by volunteers.

"We as governor candidates in collecting the data are certainly assisted by volunteers. So we are not directly involved in collecting supporting data," Dharma said in a video statement received by VOI, Monday, August 19.

As stated by the DKI Jakarta KPU, Dharma believes that the data of residents whose NIKs are profitable have been eliminated during verification by election organizers. Thus, he believes that the NIK-NIK is currently not on the list of supporters who passed the verification.

"This supporting data is then checked by the KPU. That's why for those who are not our supporters, they will be filtered by themselves," said Dharma.

On that occasion, the former Deputy Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) still appreciated the work of his volunteers who had collected ID cards for their supporters.

"These volunteers are those who want to save the lives of their respective families. We hold the mandate of our supporters to protect their families according to our vision. Namely saving the souls of our families," he explained.

It is known, Dharma-Kun Wardana passed the results of the second factual verification on the condition of support to register as a cagub-cawagub Jakarta. Dharma-Kun is said to have the support of 677,486 residents who are declared that the KPU meets the requirements. The number of their supporters exceeds the minimum limit of the independent Jakarta cagub-cawagub support requirement of 618,968 people.

The day after the announcement, a number of people admitted that their NIK was used as a supporter of Dharma-Kun. This was revealed on social media after they checked their NIK on the page www.infopemilu.kpu.go.id/voting/check_supporter.

In fact, former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan admitted that his family and relatives were also used by his NIK as supporters of Dharma-Kun. In fact, they were never asked to support the individual path pair. Also, never handing over his ID card as a form of support to the Dharma-Kun Wardana team.

A member of the DKI Jakarta KPU, Dody Wijaya, clarified the findings of residents who found their NIK as a supporter of Dharma-Kun on the KPU's Infopemilu website. Dody argued that there was an unrenewable system.

He explained that the Dharma-Kun team initially handed over more than 1 million NIK and citizen ID cards which were claimed to support it in the early stages.

After administrative verification, the KPU found that there were only around 400 thousand NIKs of support. Dharma was again given the opportunity to improve and seek additional support through factual verification.

From this condition, Dody assessed that the NIK of residents who were painted could still be listed on the Infopemilu page but has been declared ineligible. One example is the son of former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

However, Dody claimed to have reported this to the Indonesian KPU to make improvements and updates to the system so that the NIK that did not meet the requirements for support to Dharma-Kun was removed.

"Administrative verification data with factual verification is incorporated, that's what we gave input to the central KPU that this data is actually not eligible. The name of the factual verification for his son, Mr. Anies, and his status does not meet the requirements," said Dody.
