JAKARTA - Jessica Kumala Wongso's attorney, Otto Hasibuan, revealed the reason why his party continued to submit a request for reconsideration (PK) to the Supreme Court (MA) regarding the murder case of Wayan Mirna Salihin. Because according to him, the verdict against his client did not match the facts.

Nevertheless, Ottto admitted that he still respects the court's decision regarding the premeditated murder case of Wayan Mirna Salihin. But for him, for the PK decision there is still an opportunity, so his party plans to propose this.

"But the law also provides opportunities for all parties, including Jessica if you want a PK, then the law will also provide opportunities and that's for her," he said.

On the other hand, Otto also questioned whether an autopsy was carried out on Mirna, even though it was very important to know the exact cause of whether the victim died from cyanide coffee given poison.

He also gave examples of other cases such as the murder of Vina in Cirebon and Ferdy Sambo which were conducted an autopsy.

"Why didn't Mirna be autopsied. So the judge said Mirna died of poison and was found to be due to cyanide without being autopsied. Where did the basis come from? Frankly, I always hope that whatever this is, the attorney general's office must answer, "he said.

"Can a judge declare the cause of death of someone who died suddenly not because of illness and death, he said, because of poison without an autopsy," he continued.

For information, the former convict, Jessica Kumala Wongso, has been sentenced to 20 years after being proven to have committed premeditated murder against Wayan Mirna Salahin. The murder was carried out by inserting cyanide poison into the coffee that Mirna drank.

Even though it was decided for 20 years, now Jessica is actually breathing free air faster, after receiving 58 months and 30 days of remotion.
