JAKARTA - Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka greeted and served selfies with guests invited to the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony upon arrival at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
Gibran arrived at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta at around 09.10 WIB with his wife Selvi Ananda, his first son Jan Ethes Srinarendra and daughter La Lembah Manah.
Gibran, who was wearing a typical Papuan traditional dress, went straight to the area where the invited guests sat on the right side of the Merdeka Palace, after getting out of the car.
The invited guests immediately greeted enthusiastically while cheering at Gibran.
"Mas Gibran... Mas Gibran... Vice President... Vice President," exclaimed the invited guest who surrounded Gibran.
After a few minutes of greeting the invited guests, Gibran returned to the right side of the Merdeka Palace Building, to wait for Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin.
