6 People Prevented From Going Abroad Regarding Cases Of Procurement Of X-Ray Agricultural Quarantine Agency

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent six people from leaving the country. This step is related to the investigation of alleged corruption in the procurement of static x-rays, mobile x-rays, and x-ray trailers or containers.

"The prohibition of traveling abroad is related to the investigation as I explained," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, August 16.

Tessa said this request for prevention was in accordance with Decree No. 1064 of 2024 and was valid for six months. He detailed that the initials were WH, IP, MB, SUD, CS and RF.

Meanwhile, based on sources, one of the things prevented was the former Secretary of the Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture Wisnu Haryana.

The investigation was carried out by investigators because the presence of the person concerned in Indonesian territory was needed in the context of the investigation process, said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Tessa said the investigation into the alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture was carried out after a warrant for the start of the investigation (sprindik) was issued on August 12. There are already suspects who have been named but he does not want to elaborate further.

"Regarding the Ministry of Agriculture's sprindik, the information is that there are already suspects, how many we have not been able to open," concluded Tessa.
