JAKARTA - The police are again investigating the crime scene (TKP) to find the cause of the fire that scorched hundreds of houses in the Manggarai area, South Jakarta.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said the TKP processing process involved the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters.

"The South Jakarta Metro Police and the Tebet Police will conduct a follow-up crime scene investigation today. This follow-up crime scene was attended by the National Police's Criminal Investigation Labfor," Ade told reporters, Friday, August 16.

In an effort to find the cause of the fire first, Puslabof will look for clues and evidence around the scene.

Then, examine it in a laborative manner to determine the cause of the fire.

"Looking for evidence, explore it and then the evidence will be secured later. Then a laboratory examination is carried out to investigate the alleged cause of the shooting," said Ade.

The fire broke out on Tuesday, August 13. More than 100 houses were burned to the ground by the red rooster.

South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Officer Triyanto said the temporary fire was caused by an explosion of cellphone chargers from one of the residents' houses.
