Police Make Arrests Related To Death Of 'Friends' Actors Matthew Perry

JAKARTA - The police made arrests regarding the death of United States (US) 'Friends' actor Matthew Perry.

CNN quoted information from law enforcement on Thursday, August 15. But there are no details about this arrest.

The actor who played Chandler Bing in the series Friends died in October at the age of 54. Perry was found floating face down in the pool of his house in Pacific Palisades.

The actor died from a taminat acute effect' and then drowned, according to an autopsy report by the Los Angeles Medical Audit Office.

In May, Los Angeles Police Chief Scot Williams told CNN the investigation into Perry's death was ongoing.

"Physically, there is a potential crime depending on what is disguised in the investigation, but at the moment, we haven't got there yet," he said at the time.

Williams said authorities were investigating how Perry got the drugs and who might supply them. The US Narcotics Administration and the US Post Inspection Service were also involved in the investigation.

Perry previously expressed his decades of struggle against drug addiction in his 2022 memoirs, "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing."

Perry wrote that he began abusing prescription drugs after he was involved in a jet ski accident on the set of the 1997 film 'Fools Rush In' and was given a Vicodin prescription.

According to his book, Perry eventually consumes up to 55 pills per day, resulting in significant weight loss seen during his work on Friends

He said it was difficult to witness the physical transformation he experienced during his appearance at the event.

"I'm, like, very thin and devastated by this disease," Perry wrote.
