Palestinian Presidential Spokesman Says Israel's Escalation Will Trigger Explosions In Turmoilable Areas

Palestinian Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said Israel's continued atrocities with daily massacres in the Gaza Strip as well as attacks on the West Bank, the latest killings of residents at Balata Camp, east of Nablus, to the detention of residents would trigger explosions in already volatile areas, saying responsibility lies with the United States Government providing support.

"The US government is well aware that the occupational government is trying to ignite the entire region, to ensure its political continuity, by continuing policies for the war of annihilation, assassination, destruction, and hunger. But it does not force Israel, its strategic allies, to stop this provocation, as happened at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, from dangerous provocations that if it continues to ignite the entire region," he said., as quoted from WAFA August 16.

Abu Rudeineh stressed that Uncle Sam's country must realize that the occupation must immediately stop its actions, force it to stop its aggression and destructive policies, if it really wants to save the region from a war catastrophe that will be borne by the whole world, not just the region itself.

He further said that occupation forces must know, massacres, killings, destruction, arrests and expansion of settlements every day, as well as attacks on Islamic and Christian holy places, will not bring about security, stability, or continued occupation.

"The only way to achieve peace and stability is to recognize the rights of the Palestinian people and carry out legitimate resolutions internationally," he said.

He stressed that what the Palestinian people and their legitimate leaders received was the only possible way to solve the Palestinian issue.

Separately, Gaza's health authorities confirmed on Thursday that the death toll of Palestinians in Gaza since the latest conflict broke out on October 7, 2023, has reached 40,005 and 92,401 others injured, with the majority of victims being women and children.
