Hamas Guards Who Killed Israeli Hostages Confess Revenge Because 2 Of Their Children Died

JAKARTA - The Hamas guard who killed an Israeli hostage acted as revenge after receiving news that his two children had died in an Israeli attack. This action is called outside Hamas' instructions.

"The army (Hamas) who was assigned as guards acted in retaliation for instructions after he received information that his two children were martyrs in one of the massacres carried out by the enemy," said spokesman for the armed group Al-Qassam Brigade Abu Ubaida via Telegram.

"The incident does not represent our ethics and our religious instructions in dealing with prisoners. We will strengthen the instruction," he continued.

On Monday, following Hamas' initial announcement of the incident, the Israeli military said it could not immediately confirm or deny Hamas' report.

Meanwhile, related to ceasefire efforts in Gaza, envoys from the United States, Israel, Qatar, and Egypt met in Doha today. Negotiations are said to be the last attempt to reach a ceasefire agreement until the release of Israeli hostages detained in Gaza.
