Regarding Anies' Opportunity To Be Carried By PDIP, Ahok: It's Impossible To Take Outsiders As Long As Their Cadres Are Ready

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P DPP Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok responded to the opportunity for his party to carry Anies Baswedan in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada. In principle, according to Ahok, PDIP will definitely prioritize its cadres who are ready to be promoted in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"So what I know is that the PDI-P cannot take people from outside as long as the cadres are ready," said Ahok at the PDIP DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14.

During his time as a PDIP cadre, Ahok said that all members of his party continued to be educated to be pioneers, including in implementing the ideology in line with President Soekarno.

"The PDI-P is a pioneer party. We have a row of PDI-P cadres. I think it's only possible for outsiders if we don't have cadres to come forward. Usually it's like that in PDI-P," said Ahok.

However, Ahok admitted that he would obey all party decisions in the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada, including helping to win Anies Baswedan if later promoted by the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"As a cadre, this is one of the requirements to become a cadre of the PDI-P pioneers, it is an organizational discipline. Whatever the party's decision, all cadres must obey. Otherwise, they will come out," said Ahok.

Currently, Anies Baswedan's certainty that he can advance in the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election is increasingly adrift. PKS, which previously gave a recommendation for an investigation to Anies on the condition that he cooperates with PKS elite Sohibul Iman, now has the opportunity to leave.

Likewise with PKB and NasDem which never gave certainty whether they would still carry Anies, along with the discourse on the formation of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).
