Previously, Joni was promised by Jokowi to enter the TNI because of his heroic action in 2018. However, at this time Joni failed to pass a physical test to enter the TNI due to problems with height. Meanwhile, the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak emphasized that Joni must undergo a feasibility test as a member of the Indonesian National Army (TNI). "So, Joni still has to follow the selection to become a member of the TNI," said Maruli after reviewing the social service at the Galang Special Hospital.
