Pope Francis Visits Indonesia, Police Deploy 4,520 Personnel

The National Police will conduct Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024 in order to secure the arrival of the leader of the Catholics, Pope Francis, in Indonesia. Around 4,520 personnel were deployed in the activity. "The National Police has prepared 4,520 personnel with details of the National Police Headquarters 1,077 personnel and Polda Metro 3,443 personnel," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko when confirmed, Tuesday, August 13. Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024 is known to be held for 6 days from September 2 to 7, 2024. Meanwhile, Pope Francis is expected to arrive in Indonesia on September 3, 2024. Then, he will meet with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the State Palace, on September 4. The following day, Pope Francis is scheduled to attend an interreligious meeting or meeting with interfaith figures at the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. Followed by a meeting of beneficiaries of charitable organizations at the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI) office. Then, the Pope held a grand mass at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, which will be attended by tens of thousands of Catholics.
