Palembang Corruption Court Receives Files Of 2 Suspects Of Corruption In The South Sumatra BPDB Budget

The case file for the alleged corruption in the use of the budget for goods and services at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) in 2022 has been transferred to the Palembang Corruption Court.

"Administratively, the case files of the two suspects are now complete and ready to be transferred to the Palembang Corruption Court (Tipikor)," said Head of the Special Crimes Section of the OKU Kejari, Yerry Tri Mulyawan in Baturaja, OKU, South Sumatra (Sumsel), Tuesday, August 13, confiscated by Antara.

He said the case that ensnared AK as Head of BPBD OKU for the 2022 period, who now serves as Head of the OKU and JN Industry and Trade Office, which is the Treasurer of BPDB OKU in 2022, was divided into two separate case files.

This week, the file together with the two suspects will be transferred immediately after obtaining a signature from the Head of the OKU Kejari, Choirun Parapat.

After the delegation, he said, the two suspects who are still languishing in the Baturaja Detention Center will be transferred to the Pakjo detention center in Palembang to facilitate the proceedings.

"Delegation of files and the two suspects because they have fulfilled the evidence for trial," he said.

Previously, his party had conducted a search at the OKU BPBD office to complete evidence related to the alleged corruption case handled by the prosecutor's office.

In addition to bringing a box of documents, the OKU Kejari investigating team also conducted an examination of four units of official vehicles belonging to the OKU BPBD.

According to him, this case involved more than 20 items of fictitious goods and services budget activities, including official travel and the purchase of motorized vehicles without evidence of valid accountability reports.

"The results of the investigative audit conducted by the OKU District Inspectorate and based on an investigative audit by the auditor team found state losses of Rp428,397,237," he said.
