President Jokowi: Prabowo Agrees With The Budget For The Acceleration Of IKN Development

President Joko Widodo said President-elect Prabowo Subianto approved the budget to accelerate infrastructure development in the capital city of Nusantara.

This was conveyed by President Jokowi in his remarks when he inaugurated the laying of the BCA Office's first stone in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 12.

"This morning, the president-elect, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, also agreed to accelerate infrastructure development in the capital city of Nusantara. So investors need not hesitate about the next government's commitment," said President Jokowi.

With the approval of the budget from the elected president Prabowo Subianto, President Jokowi also asked investors not to hesitate the government's commitment to continue IKN development.

In his remarks, President Jokowi explained that the government is responsible for building facilities to infrastructure at IKN, such as roads, electricity and water supplies.

Currently, said the President, the government is still focusing on development in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN.

Therefore, investors who build facilities or businesses outside KIPP IKN, the government will only build other roads and infrastructure in January 2025.

"What we are currently concentrating on until the end of the year is still concentrating on development in the core area, namely in government areas. For investment, investors outside the government area will start infrastructure development in January next year," said Jokowi.

President Jokowi emphasized that the construction of roads and infrastructure that will be carried out in January 2025 has been approved by the president-elect Prabowo Subianto.

Regarding investment, the Head of State stated that 472 investors expressed their interest and had signed a Letter of Intent with OIKN.

However, after being selected by the Archipelago Capital Authority, there were 220 investors who were serious and wanted to invest in IKN Nusantara.

Investors who have signed a cooperation agreement with OIKN will also obtain a building rights permit (HGB) within 11 days.

"And at this time, if you invest in the capital city of Nusantara, sign a quick cooperation agreement, and after that, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will issue a maximum of HGB within 11 days. Very fast," said the President.

Ending his remarks, the President also invited investors and invites him to see the Garuda Palace and the State Palace at IKN, to show how serious the government is in building the capital city of the archipelago.
