KALTIM - President Joko Widodo said that the availability of infrastructure such as toll roads and airports facilitates access to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim). By the end of this year the toll road will be completed. The responsibility is the Minister of Public Works, what I asked was not the head of OIKN but the Minister of Public Works, it's different because this is a toll road that the Minister of Public Works is working on," said the President. In addition, the President also said that if the construction of Nusantara Airport is completed, it will facilitate access from any city in the country to IKN. From Nusantara Airport to the IKN area, it only takes 15 minutes by land. "So, from the airport here, only 15 minutes or so, this will also be completed, the runway length of 2,200 (meters) will be completed by the end of this month the airport and can all go down there anyone," said the President. Initially, the President said, the construction of Nusantara Airport was intended for very very very important personnel (VVIP), but now it has been changed and the general public can use the airport.

"Because it used to be designed for VVIP, but now we change it for commercial public, we can go down at Nusantara Airport. I think if these two infrastructure facilities are completed, the toll road is completed, the airport will be completed later, it will be seen how close Jakarta is to the archipelago, Surabaya to the archipelago, Bandung to the archipelago, Medan to the archipelago, Makassar to the archipelago will be near," he said.
