JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan temporarily suspends the Head of the Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Service Agency (BPPBJ), Blessmiyanda due to a case.

When confirmed, Bless confirmed that he was temporarily discharged. Currently, Bless is undergoing an inspection at the Inspectorate of DKI Jakarta. However, Bless is reluctant to reveal what case he is currently facing.

"Yes, he will be temporarily discharged. As for the matter (case), I may not be able to convey it," said Bless on Wednesday, March 24.

According to information received by VOI, Bless's deactivation is suspected to be related to a sexual harassment case against an employee of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. When met at the DKI City Hall, DKI Jakarta Inspector Syaefuloh Hidayat was economical.

When asked about the alleged sexual harassment case, Syaefuloh confirmed that it was included in one of the Inspectorate's examination materials to Bless. "That's the material (examination), yes," said Syaefuloh.

However, Syaefuloh was reluctant to explain further about the examination. "Later, yes. I'm in a hurry to go to a leadership meeting," he continued as he left.

Separately, the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Riza Patria, admitted that he did not know what cases caught Bless, so he had to undergo an examination at the DKI Inspectorate. He waited until the results of the examination were finished.

"I do not know that far. Later, perhaps the Inspectorate will report to us. We will give the opportunity to those concerned to explain to the Inspectorate," said Riza.

Moreover, according to Riza, it is normal to deactivate local government officials. Deactivation, transfer, and dismissal of employees are efforts to improve performance in an agency.

"Each leader, apart from having a prerogative, also has special considerations in the context of changing positions. Refreshing is normal. So, there is no problem. The important thing is, we will see if this replacement gives a better performance," he said.

Currently, Bless is still undergoing inspection at the Inspectorate of DKI. To replace Bless's job for a while, Anies appointed DKI Jakarta Regional Secretariat Assistant Government Sigit Wijatmoko to be the Daily Executive (Plh) Head of the DKI BPPBJ.
