JAKARTA - The Regent of Padang Pariaman Suhatri Bur received an award from the Association of Indonesian Travel Companies (Asita) for his dedication to tourism development.
The award was handed over directly by Chairman Asita Rusmiati at the Hall of the Governor of West Sumatra in Padang, Wednesday, March 24.
"I thank you for the award given. Furthermore, we support all forms of activities aimed at advancing and improving tourism", said Suhatri, quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 25.
He explained that advancing tourism is such as improving services for tourists and completing the facilities for tourists who come to Padang Pariaman.
He hopes that this award will spur Padang Pariaman in providing the best tourism services to tourists and improving existing facilities and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the Governor of West Sumatra, Mahyeldi, congratulated the Chairman of the DPD Asita West Sumatra and his newly appointed staff.
"The spirit Asita brings is the same as the spirit of the Provincial Government, namely the spirit of collaboration in advancing tourism in West Sumatra", he said.
According to him, the efforts made must be in synergy with one another. With the spirit of togetherness, hopefully, tourists who come can be served with adequate facilities.
