If You Fail To Advance, Proof Anies Can't Get Additional Support

JAKARTA The failure of the Anies Baswedan-Sohibul Iman pair to compete in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada is not said to be the fault of PKS. This is actually considered as proof that Anies is unable to carry out the mission to get coalition partners.

"Anies is considered unable to build a coalition, because after all PKS cannot carry the candidate pair itself," said the executive director of the Indonesia Political Review (IPR), Ujang Komarudin.

According to him, Anies has violated the commitment he has made that within 40 days he will seek additional support to cover the shortage of four seats as a condition for his candidacy in the Jakarta Pilkada.

Therefore, it is natural that PKS will replace the options in the implementation of the Jakarta Pilkada by joining the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"There is a reason for PKS not to carry Anies, as well as to join KIM Plus. So in that context, it is possible and very likely that PKS will join a coalition that supports the government," he explained.

'History of Gerindra's relationship with PKS is actually good - good. It's fine, there's no problem with them. Politically too, in the last election, they together brought Anies, carrying Anies Sandiaga Uno," continued Ujang.
