60,000 Palestinians Refuge After Israel Orders Evacuation Again

JAKARTA - Israel has again issued an evacuation order to vacate Gaza's territory. This was conveyed by Florencia Soto from the office of a spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), as reported by the Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Soto stated that more than 80 percent of Gaza's territory has been ordered by Israel to be vacated since October last year. Now, at least 60,000 Palestinians have fled to the western part of the Gaza Strip.

On Thursday, the occupation army ordered Palestinians to leave a number of areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, in preparation for Israel to carry out a new attack.

The order was issued after Israel attacked an area previously considered "safe" to the east of the city. The attack killed 255 civilians and caused severe damage.

Soto also highlighted the amount of aid that reached Gaza, which has decreased by more than half since early May due to the closure of the Rafah border.

In April, an average of 169 trucks delivered aid daily to Gaza, but that number fell to less than 80 trucks in June and July.

The UN official stressed that Israel continues to refuse and intercept a convoy of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
