659 PPKS Netted By DKI Satpol PP Raids (Satpol PP)

JAKARTA - A total of 659 Social Welfare Service (PPKS) were caught by Tertib Praja Operations which were held throughout Jakarta.

Kasatpol PP DKI Jakarta, Arifin said the number of PPKS caught was based on the results of the operation which had only been carried out for 9 days.

"The PPKS outreach is not only an effort to organize public order in the city of Jakarta. But also as an effort to reach, collect data and provide guidance for people who need social welfare assistance in order to get a more humane handling of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," Arifin told reporters, Saturday, August 10.

It is known that Operation Bina Tertib Praja will be held from August 1 to August 31, 2024.

Arifin detailed the hundreds of PPKS that were netted, namely 8 manusia gerobak, 1 silver man, 8 costplay, 52 homeless people, and 66 buskers.

Then, 401 packs of illegal traffic or regulators, 4 ondel-ondel, 8 street children, 9 ODGJ, 25 scavengers, and 113 hawkers.

The activity aims to humanize a group of residents of Jakarta so as not to depend on their economy from making a living at road intersections and roads that are busy with traffic.

"Because in addition to violating the regulations, it also endangers the safety of himself and other people who use roads. Together we take care of Jakarta more orderly, peaceful and orderly for the entire population of Jakarta," said Arifin.
