Tighten Security For The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia At IKN, This Is The Focus Of Kodam VI/Mulawarman

The security of the 79th Anniversary (HUT) celebration of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has now been tightened by Kodam VI/Mulawarman. "Thousands of joint personnel of the TNI, Polri, and related agencies guard at various strategic points during the series of events," said Head of Information for Kodam VI/Mulawarman Colonel Kav Kristiyanto in Balikpapan, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 10. He revealed that this security involved all units under his command, including combat units, implementing bodies, and regional command units.The main focus, continued Kristiyanto, is to secure VVIP and VIP guests who will be present at IKN, ranging from travel routes, shelters, to ceremony locations. We have prepared 3,617 joint personnel for this security task. The details, 2,657 personnel from the TNI, 697 personnel from the Police, and 362 personnel from ministries/agencies as well as local governments,' he said. According to Kristiyanto, the main weapon system (defense equipment) modern is also deployed to support security operations, such as tiger tanks, rantis komododo, and rantis anoa. These combat vehicles, he said, are placed at strategic points and ready to operate if necessary. All zones in IKN are of our special concern. Starting from airports, VVIP travel routes, palace locations, ceremony areas, to where to stay guests invites. All of these points will be closely guarded by our troops,' said Kristiyanto.

To prevent security disturbances, Kodam VI/Mulawarman has taken various anticipatory steps, such as routine patrols, road blocking, and strict checks on invited guests. "We hope that with this strict security, the celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day at IKN can run smoothly, safely, and conducively," he concluded.
