Sukadi explained that Made Anas, a man from Karangasem, Bali, forcibly pulled the necklace of the victim who was standing in front of Carla Spa, Jalan Pantai Kuta, Monday, August 5, 2024, at around 21.30 p.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA).

The victim was initially standing on the sidewalk in front of Carla Spa, Kuta. Suddenly the perpetrator came from behind on a motorbike and immediately forcibly pulled the gold necklace around the victim's neck and fled using a motorbike.

After the incident, the victim immediately shouted to report it to the police. The victim admitted to losing a 25-gram gold necklace and suffered a loss of IDR 38.5 million.

The Kuta Police Opsnal Team also searched for the perpetrator and arrested him that night. Furthermore, the perpetrator was detained at the Kuta Police for further processing.

"The perpetrator admitted to having committed theft. The stolen goods were sold on the side of the road and the proceeds were used for daily needs," said Sukadi.

The evidence confiscated by the police was a gold necklace and a black Honda Vario motorbike.

The perpetrator admitted to carrying out the action because he wanted to meet his daily needs.
