"After the joint SAR team conducted a search, at 12.13 WIB the two victims were found (dead) about 170 meters from the scene. The victim was on the bottom of the cliff with a slope of about 40 degrees and a depth of approximately 60 meters," said Coordinator of the Jember SAR Post Jefriyanzah as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 4.
After the two victims were found, the joint SAR team immediately carried out an evacuation, but until 18.00 WIB the evacuation could not be continued because the conditions were getting dark, the area was very narrow and the terrain was steep, so it was risky for the safety of personnel.
