Body in a Sack in Pancoran Mas, Part of the Body Missing

JAKARTA - Police did not find a body in a sack at the discovery location in Tanah Merah area, Jalan Kapling Depkes RT 03 RW 17, Kelurahan/Kecamatan Pancoran Mas, Depok City.

"Yes, we can say that some of the victims' bodies were not found at the crime scene. However, we are still investigating," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Depok Metro Police AKBP Made Gede Oka Utama as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 4.

His party will provide official information after the autopsy is carried out with a team of forensic doctors at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

"For the identity of the victim, we will convey it after we get certainty," he said.

Officers learned of the body in the sack after a report from the community in the Pancoran Mas area, on Tuesday afternoon at 16.00 WIB. After receiving information, officers carried out a series of investigations, namely processing the crime scene and also examining witnesses who found it.

"Furthermore, our victim was evacuated and taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for initial treatment.

Based on the information from residents, the initial condition of the body or the victim was found in a sack of rice. From information from residents or witnesses, when found, the witness initially thought it was garbage and then burned.

"At the time of the burning process, we saw the body parts of the victim," said Made.

Previously, the Depok Metro Police Inafis Team investigated the whereabouts of a man's body in a sack found by residents in the Tanah Merah area, Jalan Kapling Depkes RT 03 RW 17, Kelurahan/Kecamatan Pancoran Mas, Depok City, Tuesday afternoon.

"The Depok Metro Police Inafis team carried out initial identification and evacuated the body to the Kramat Jati Polri Hospital for further forensic examination," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto.
